computer system (hardware) which house and
processes all Insurance Records (both inforce
awards). Most payments are automatically
generated by the computer system. Examples
include annual cash dividend payments monthly
award payments. All Insurance payment files are
transmitted to the Treasury from this facility.

Within Insurance Program Management, the Policy
Procedures Staff works with the SDC and the
Insurance Operations divisions to install new
applications and to assist with fixing software
problems. They also serve as contact point for
other agencies like Treasury when developing new
applications (e.g. combo print, direct
deposit).
