DRIP TRAY SEAL
Lancer has developed a gasket to seal the drip
tray area below the drain tubes.
A diversion channel has also been developed to
route condensation from the agitator motor area
into the drip tray.
3
DRAINS
  • Single drain connection (drip tray)
  • 3/4 Straight connection
  • Ice bin drains into drip tray
  • Drain tube elbow fitting
  • Insulating drain line is required

Motor Drive Assembly Replacement Prior to
beginning the procedure, clear access must be
obtained to the unit ice bin. This may require
moving or removing the ice machine, plus the
adapter plate if applicable. Since most units
require a bin-stat to control the bin ice level,
care should be taken not to damage it during the
removal of the ice machine and other components.

1. Remove ice from unit ice bin. This must be
done to accommodate the removal and installation
of agitator assembly components.

2. Disconnect unit from power supply. Unplugging
unit may be the easiest method.

3. Remove retaining clip from agitator pin (at
hub of agitator wheel), then remove pin. (see
Photo 1)

4. Slide agitator shaft towards rear of unit
until front end clears wheel hub, move shaft to
side, then pull up to remove. (see Photo 2)

5. Remove agitator wheel by pulling hub toward
rear of unit. (see Photo 3)

6. From inside the bin, remove motor housing
seal (black rubber) from around motor shaft. (see

lever pivot arms and remove lever. (see Photo 6)

cover. (see Photo 7)

10. Unplug Agitator Motor wiring harness. (see
Photo 8)
11. Using Phillips screwdriver, remove two screws
retaining Agitator Motor Mounting Bracket. It may
also be necessary to loosen the four (motor to
bracket) mounting bolts to remove motor. (see
Photo 9)

12. Remove agitator motor and bracket assembly
from unit. Separate motor from mounting bracket,
then reinstall bracket on replacement drive
motor.

13. Install replacement motor and bracket
assembly in unit and reconnect wiring harness.
14. Reinstall agitator motor cover plate, splash
plate and ice chute lever.
15. From inside bin, reinstall motor housing
seal, wheel, shaft, pins and retainer.
Reset icemaker, adapter plate and binstat if
