GENERAL ROULES
Introduction Before leaving the factory this
machine was inspected and prepared by skilled and
qualified personnel, to ensure that it will
always work efficiently and give
satisfaction. Any repairs or resetting that are
found to be necessary should be carried out with
the greatest care and attention. For this reason
we recommend that you always call in the dealer
which sold you the machine, or our own Technical
Assistance Service specifying the nature of the
problem and the model of the purchased
equipment.  We point out that original spare
parts can be found only by our Distributors, or
our spare parts store. General rules This manual
contains very important information relating to
the installation, use and maintenance of the
machine. We advise you to read the instructions
contained in this document carefully, because
they will provide valuable tips on how to install
the machine safely and on its operation and
maintenance. If these protective devices are
respected, the user can rest assured that the
machine will function satisfactorily. The
manufacturer will accept no responsibility for
damage or injury due to incorrect operation, or
for damage to or removal of the protective
devices, or for any other imprudent use of the
machine. Before connecting the machine to the
power supply make sure that The mains voltage
corresponds to that indicated on the
specification tag of the machine. The power
supply should be fitted with an efficient ground
device that complies with the current Laws and
regulations in force. If the machine has not
already been fitted with a cable, use a
rubber-sheathed power cable that complies with
the regulations in force, and is of an adequate
size for the power absorption. Before carrying
out any cleaning, lubrication adjustment or
replacement operations, disconnect the power
supply at the mains switch.

WARRANTY

• The warranty is valid a year starting from the
  date of the installation.
• 2. The guarantee covers all equipment we produce,
  faulty materials and defects in construction,
  with the exception of the labour.
• 3. The guarantee does not cover the machines a)
  which have been tampered with, and those which
  underwent interventions of repairing without the
  written approval of LABELPACK b) which
  installation does not meet the instructions given
  by LABELPACK c) which have been installed for
  different applications from the ones provided by
  LABELPACK d) which underwent damages due to
  atmospheric corrosion e) which installation does
  not meet the instructions given, or connected to
  a wrong voltage.
• 4.In conformity with this guarantee, LABELPACK
  engages to carry out any repairing operation, or
  to replace those pieces which result faulty, at
  its exclusive and final decision. The customer is
  bound to send the faulty piece directly to
  LABELPACK free of any expenses and accompanied by
  a written report.
• 5. LABELPACK reserves the right to make any
  change it deems necessary on its equipment
  without previous notice and without engagement
  for the former production.
• 6. LABELPACK is not liable for data set forth in
  brochures, illustrations, drawings, instructions,
  or any other publication.
• 7. Connection to the ground must be done
  following with the electrical normative.
• 8. LABELPACK does not accept return of any
  equipment without accords between the parts.

INSTALLATION START UP

START UP
Inserting the label reel Fit inside plate
A. Fit the reel on the roller (standard diameter
mm 45). Introduce adjusters if necessary (Ø
75). Fit outside plate B and check that the same
adheres at the reel (fig. 4). Paper way Paper
way with inside labels and paper way with
outside labels (fig. 5). Check to make sure that
the paper strip slides accurately through the
photoelectric cell A Paper alignment Verify
that the paper was aligned at the internal plate
A and parallel at the principal structure of
labeling head.

STURT UP
Fit the brush on the paper exerting a light
pressure (fig. 7). Block the drawing group until
to reach the mechanic stop. WARNING If the
drawing group is not blocked, the paper has not a
correct drawing (fig. 8). Fix the fork on
the recovering roller (fig. 9) Once these
operations are over, turn on the power.

STURT UP
SETTING THE STOP PHOTOCELL In relation to the
light intensity, transmitted by the sensor, the
stop photocell recognise the space between one
label and the other. Move manually the paper
strip trough the stop photocell and verify that
the led was alight when under there is the label
and the led was out when under there is the gab.

SETTING THE MICROSTOP The stop photocell
recognise the space between one label and the
other in relation to the different thickness it
find Move the paper and verify that the MICRO
led turn on when meets the paper and turn off
when finds the silicon paper. (fig. 10) NB
according to the sensor used, it may be happen
that the led turn on when finds the space between
one label and the other, and turn off when meets
the label. If necessary turn around the screw nut
on the micro to find the right setting. (fig.
11a)

Allows to vary the label speed Start delay
. The delay of start allows to vary the time of
application, therefore the correct positioning on
the product. Stop delay. With this regulation is
possible to modify the advancement space of the
label. (fig 11B)

START-UP WORKING

• The labelling head mod. ETX 1000 descript in this
  manual, is an automatic labelling machine fixed
  on the existing line.
• When you have to begin the job, make sure that
  there are the followings conditions
• The labels must have climbed on the machine in
  correct way and in the correct direction.
• Remember to stop the grained roll of drawing
  and to make a light pressure with the brush brake
  on the labels.
• Check that the labels pass through the
  photo-cell of stop.

Cleaning and maintenance
Remove adhesive and label residues on the
rollers daily using the correct
detergent. WARNING Never use sharp tools or
cutters, blades, knives, etc. for cleaning (fig.
14). Check the soundness of the adjustment
roller. The label can be correctly set on the
product through an accurate maintenance. Remove
glue residues present on the photoelectric
cell. Check that the brush is not worn out.

LABELLING CYCLE DESCRIPTION
OPERATING.

• The labeller ETX 1000 is an automatic label
  applicator fixed on an existing line.
• The label is applied while the product pass
  under, over, flank the applicator (according to
  the side to label)
• The correct application of the label on the
  product, happen considering the following rules
• Application distance the distance between the
  blame of flash and the product surface does not
  have to be longer than 3 5 mm. Only the foam
  rubber and the brush can touch the product.
• Label application speed the label peeling speed
  has to be similar to the speed of the product. If
  not, the following problems may happen
• The label may curling the label speed is too
  high
• The machine grab the label the label speed is
  too low
• Center the label on the product There are two
  available way to fix correctly the label on the
  product
• To intercept the product, the photocell is moved
  on its support.
• Using the potentiometer RIT. START. Increasing
  and decreasing the potentiometer value, the label
  will be apply in advance or in delay. This is the
  suggested method as it doesnt need particular
  fixture or cable and it is easily to reset for
  different type of application.
• Positioning the label on the peeling blade is
  important that is the machine peel completed the
  label. The machine can apply labels of different
  dimensions and the best way to peel in the right
  way is the OFFSET. This potentiometer regulates
  how much advance the label on the blade
• To fill in a new label reel, the paper pass
  through a fork photocell or under a microswitch
  that reads the space between one label and the
  other. As the sensor has a fix position, using
  the OFFSET potentiometer, we can regulate also
  the label of a dimensions different from the one
  settled first.
• N.B. Contemporaneous labels would be peeled by
  using an higher value. Start from the zero,
  while defining the label stop point.
