3 Frontal view of both lungs at autopsy. The
lungs are edematous, especially the right lung,
with areas of hemorrhage and pleural fibrosis.
Fibrinopurulent adhesions were noted along the
posterior and basal surfaces of both lungs,
Previously, a specific dietary supplement,
selected vegetables (SV), was found to be
associated with prolonged survival of stage III
and IV non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)
patients. In this study, several anticancer
components in SV were easured the anticancer
activity of SV was assessed using a lung tumor
model, line 1 in BALB/c mice. SV was also used in
conjunction with conventional therapies by stage
IIIB and IV NSCLC patients whose survival and
clinical responses were evaluated. A daily
portion (283 g) of SV was found to contain 63 mg
of inositol hexaphosphate, 4.4 mg of daidzein,
2.6 mg of genistein, and 16 mg of coumestrol.
Mouse food containing 5 SV (wt/wt) was
associated with a 53-74 inhibition of tumor
growth rate. Fourteen of the 18 patients who
ingested SV daily for 2-46 months were included
in the analyses none showed evidence of toxicity.

Lung surgery involves entering the chest wall to
get to the lung. There are two ways to do this.
Your surgeon will choose the method thats best
for your condition. Thoracoscopy uses several
small incisions. The surgeon places a thin tube
containing a camera through one incision and can
view the lungs on a video monitor. Thoracotomy
uses a larger incision in the chest. This opening
allows the surgeon to see the lungs directly.
Either procedure may be done alone, or a
thoracoscopy may be done to help decide whether a
thoracotomy is needed. Pulmonary
transplantation has become a viable treatment
option for patients with end stage
cardiopulmonary disease. Patients eligible for
pulmonary transplantation include any person who
is severely debilitated by their cardiopulmonary
disease and is not hampered by any other organ
system dysfunction. Candidates frequently have
the diagnosis of obstructive lung disease (e.g.
emphysema. cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis),
pulmonary hypertension (both primary and
secondary or pulmonary fibrosis (e.g.
sarcoidosis, IPF, silicosis). This same team
performs all cardiothoracic transplants for

1- In the Synchronization presentation, each
place holds its duration, If not, we can
understand the time flow. 2- In the spatial
presentation, each place holds its location, If
not we can understand the space flow. 3- For all
places between two temporal transitions, there
exits one spatial presentation. 4-The spatial
presentation have one Starting transition ST,
one Ending transition ET, and one or more
Intermediate transitions IT1. 5- Need a special
type of transition ( Intermediate) to accommodate
the liaison between spatial and temporal
presentation Once a spatial token exists in an
input place. The Intermediate transition fires
spatial tokens to output places. The transition
does not consume the input spatial token, just
produces new spatial tokens for each outgoing
place. 6-The ending transition fires when all
place duration ends. The ending transition
consumes all spatial tokens. Spatial
Scenario ST fires, ST send spatial token to
Text. IT enabled IT fires IT sends spatial
tokens to Image1, Image 2 and Image3. ET enabled.
ET fires, when places duration end .

Combining Spatial and Synchronization
presentation
  • The original spatial transition fires at the
same time the temporal transition fires.
  • Each place is activated once all temporal tokens
    are in the place
  • The spatial token does not affect at all the
activation of the object. It just allows the
    object to display.
  • Audio Objects does not accept spatial arcs..
