  • Over 6 Million Cattle are Fed Annually in
    Texas. Over 80 of the Cattle Fed in Texas are
    Fed in the High Plains area (Lubbock NORTH) and
    this represents almost 35 of the Fed Beef in the
    U.S.
  • Receiving Program (varies with each feedyard)
  • Cattle are implanted.
  • Cattle are Vaccinated.
  • Cattle are treated for internal and external
    parasites

  • Cattle are branded or eartagged (visible/flexible
    or EID) or both.
  • Tails of the cattle are bobbed.

    that is left.

  • Pregnant heifers may be aborted.
