Central Plains
  • The Central Plains is divided into the grand
    prairie, the cross timbers, and the rolling
    plains
  • The animals are beef cattle, dairy cattle,
    sheep, goats, hogs,chicken,and turkeys.

  • The crops are cotton, corn, and other grains
  • The resources are limestone, sand, gravel, oil,
    gas, and clay.
  • They grow peaches, hay, peanuts, wheat, and
    sorghum
  • Sorghum is old grass to make syrup

    peaks, and flowering cacti.
  • Guadalupe point is the highest in Texas. It
    reaches 8,749 feet above sea level
  • Dry, rocky soil makes it hard for people to farm

  • Runs along the Gulf of Mexico
  • Reaches inland, away from the coast, about 250
    miles.

  • The Caprock Escarpment separates the Great Plains
    and the Great Plains and the Central Plains.
  • The Great Plains region is a high, flat,
    grassland.
  • The High Plains is part of the panhandle.

    rich soil
  • They produce wheat, cotton, and soil
  • The industrys are cattle ranching, and mohair.
  • The Edwards Plateau lies south of the High Plains
  • Almost half of the worlds Mohair.
