    with calendar of competition events
  • Priority sports and target age groups, abilities
  • Developing alternative effective competition
    structures
  • Effectively utilising Sports Leaders
  • Creating sustainable links with clubs, and
liaising with NGBs where none exist

. .
12
How NGBs Can Be Involved
  • Competitions
  • Development of Competition Plans
  • Create intra-school competition formats
  • Provide a list of all competitive events in
    Sussex
  • Understand national lead and identify how it fits
locally, in Sussex and within individual
    partnerships
  • Identify exit routes and player development
    pathways through clubs.
  • Provide facilities, resources and training, in
order to assist the delivery of competitions.
  • Leadership Volunteering
  • Part of SiS programme
  • NGB volunteering strategies including young
    people
  • NGB young coach, young officials awards
  • NGB event strategies including the deployment of
    young volunteers
  • Disibility
  • Via Playground to Podium
  • Developing child friendly resources that can be
implemented through Multi Sport Disability Clubs

13
The Challenge
  • That any young person in Sussex should have the
opportunity to participate in competitive sport,
whether they be social participants, or elite
    performers.
  • That they should receive the appropriate level of
coaching to allow them to meet their potential.
  • That pathways exist into local clubs, and upwards
through to county, regional, and national
    competition.
