What is their biome? Where do they live
  • Iguanas live in tropical rainforest areas, in
areas near water such as rivers and streams.
  • Green iguanas are found naturally in southern
Mexico, Central America, and most of South
    America
  • The tropical forest of Central and south.

What Do They Eat? What is Their niche?
  • A iguanas niche is a prey, predator, and
    omnivores.
  • Iguanas eat plant material as well as the
occasional juicy mealworms or wax worms.
  • Sometimes green iguanas (especially young ones)
will eat eggs, insects, and small vertebrates.

6 Interesting facts
  • Iguanas are also called Bamboo Chicken.
  • The green iguana is a reptile found throughout
    Central and south America.
  • Green iguanas can way up to 40 pounds and they
can grow up to 6 to 7 feet long.
  • Some iguanas enjoy living in trees, such as the
green iguanas of the Central and south America.
  • The male iguanas often have the brightest colors.
  • They have a great sense of smelling and hearing.

8
Green iguanas predators/enemies
  • A iguana is a prey because other animals eats
them too. They are predators because they eat
animals. E.g. mealworms or wax worms. They are
omnivores because they eat both meat and plants.
  • The coloring of the skin helps camouflage the
green iguana, which means that they blend easily
to their surroundings to protect itself from
their predators. Green iguanas are easily
protected. The protection to reproduction is
    mainly by camouflaging.

I would like to thank..
  • I would like to thank Mr. Lupu for giving us this
project to do and for teaching us things about
science. Thank you for giving me time to finish
my project after, lunch hours, and during school.
  • I would like to thank my friends that helped me
find some information for the green iguana. (I
cant name them because I have a lot of them and
    I might miss some)
