• My rainforest is the Madagascar rainforest.It
  gets about 50feet of rain a year.

Spider Monkey

• Male body length 38-48cm, tail 63-82cm, 9-10kgs.
  Female body length 42-57cm, tail 75-92cm, 6-8kgs.
  Males and females look the same.

Leopard

• Leopards are part of the cat family.  They can
  climb trees and move swiftly.  They often pounce
  on their prey from the trees above.Leopards are
  gold with black spots.

Red Eyed Tree Frog

• These frogs live in a neotropical environment.
  They prefer the lowland rainforest areas close to
  rivers and the adjacent hills.

Trees

• Most animals in the Madagascar rainforest live in
  the trees in a place called the canopy.

Plants

• Plants in the Madagascar rainforest are very
  colorful.

Deforestation

• The main historical problem with international
  trade has been the correlated destruction of the
  environment.

Sloth

• If you ever come across a Sloth in the rainforest
  you might notice green stuff in his fur.This is
  called algae. It grows naturally in a Sloths fur.

Monarch Butterfly

• The Monarch (Danaus plexippus) is a common
  poisonous butterfly found worldwide. It eats
  milkweed in its larval stage and lays eggs on the
  poisonous milkweed plant. Monarchs have a
  wingspan of 3 3/8 - 4 7/8 inches (8.6 - 12.4 cm).
