This is a little bit about me
Hi my name is Barry, My favourite football team
is Manchester United, I like singing to Elvis
songs and dancing I am interested in Buddha,
Peace and Love I started to come to Shine day
service, last year, I used to have two workers
that brought me to the project, they stayed with
me and I did not want this , I wanted
independence. I made friends in Shine, learnt to
trust the staff and was able to tell others what
I would like my life to be like. Shine staff
noticed I was unhappy, I worried because things
were not going well. Shine staff helped me find
ways to manage my anger, so that when people were
calling me names I did not get into trouble for
loosing my temper. I found my past mistakes were
always being brought up and stopping me from
moving on. A meeting was held that helped sort
this out, things are getting better now. I was
helped to do my Person centred plan, this has
helped me decide what I want most in my life, A
NEW HOME and my INDEPENDENCE I have a big plan
and then I have one on a PowerPoint so that I can
send it to anyone I want to see it. I now come
three days a week to Shine, I stay alone, go for
lunch alone and walk to the café alone. I see to
my money when getting my lunch I have now started
to join other friends for my lunch, life is good,
but I know it will get even better
