(Genesis 281 Deuteronomy 73, 4) - God is preserving His seed promises by
providentially preserving the lineage of Abraham.
(Genesis 2218) - God is preserving His promised people from the
iniquity of the Amorites (Genesis 1516)
10ApplicationsWe should follow the example of
Abrahams servant
- We should pray.
- We should trust and obey.
- We should praise and worship.
11Gods Providence We Should Proceed With
Humility, Knowing that God Alone can Truly Bless
our Efforts
- James 413
- Come now, you who say, Today or tomorrow, we
shall go to such and such a city, and spend a
year there and engage in business and make a
profit.
12Gods Providence We Should Proceed With
Humility, Knowing that God Alone can Truly Bless
our Efforts
- James 414, 15
- Yet you do not know what your life will be like
tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a
little while and then vanishes away. Instead, you
ought to say, If the Lord wills, we shall live
and also do this or that.
13Application We are on a similar mission to
gather a bride for the Lord
- Ephesians 525b-27
- Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up
for her that He might sanctify her, having
cleansed her by the washing of water with the
word, that He might present to Himself the church
in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or
any such thing but that she should be holy and
blameless.
14Application Like the servant, we do not know who
the bride will be
- Acts 239
-
- For the promise is for you and your children,
and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord
our God shall call to Himself.
15Application Like the servant, we know certain
requirements must be met.
- Romans 109
-
- If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord,
and believe in your heart that God raised Him
from the dead, you shall be saved
16Application Like the servant, we know certain
requirements must be met.
- Luke 2446, 47
- and He said to them, Thus it is written, that
the Christ should suffer and rise again from the
dead the third day and that repentance for
forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His
name to all the nations, beginning from
Jerusalem.
17Christ Will Have a Bride
- Revelation 197
-
- Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to
Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and
His bride has made herself ready.
