What is a Graph?
  • A Graph is a chart or drawing that shows the
    relationship between changing things.
  • There are 3 types of graphs that we will be
    talking about today.

3
Bar Graphs
  • The first type of graph we will be talking about
    is a Bar Graph
  • Bar Graphs can be used to show how something
changes over time or to compare data.
  • They have an X and Y axis.

Line Graphs
  • Line Graphs also show how something changes over
    time.
  • They have an X and Y axis.
  • Line graphs are useful when you have a small
amount of data over a short period of time.

5
Pie Charts
  • Pie Charts are circular graphs used to compare
    information.
  • It is used to compare parts of a whole.
  • For example if you wanted to see how you spend a
whole day at school by looking at all the
different things you do you would use a pie chart.
