  • Research shows that low calorie/low fat diets
    used to lose unwanted weight can be good when
    used in moderation and mixed with an exercise
    plan.

  • 1. High Protein Diets
  • High Protein Diets can cause a loss of calcium
    from the body resulting in osteoporosis which in
    turn causes bones to be easily broken.
  • Some think that eating excess protein foods will
    build muscle, but research has found this not to
    be true. Muscle size is increased only by doing
    more work than it is used to doing such as in
    weight training.

  • Low Carbohydrate Diets will help cause the body
    to develop Ketosis if not done in moderation or
    continued over a long period of time.

    1 2 pounds. Losing additional weight lost is

    short period and not expected to last.

    for two meals and low carbohydrates and low
    calories on the only food meal during the day.
  • Grapefruit/Fruit Juice Diet Uses bases of
    liquid and acid.
  • Cabbage Soup Diet Fills the body with empty
    calories and some basics so the body is full but
    still starving.

  • Decreasing in carbohydrates does increase weight
    loss, but the real concern of these diets is that
    they raise the risks of health problems and/or
    metabolic diseases.
