Write to the Author
  • After learning a bit about the author and reading
    Loser you should have thought of some
    additional questions you might like to ask.
  • Click on the pen at the bottom of this page and
    it will take you to a blank Word document. In
    this document, you will write a letter to Jerry
    Spinelli telling him your opinion of the book.
    You should also ask him any questions you might
    have about the book or himself.
  • Remember, this is a formal letter so make sure to

  • Have you ever been bullied? Most people have even
    teachers, athletes, and movie stars!! Think back
    to Loser, Donald was bullied for just about
    everything from the way he dressed to the way he
    talked.
  • Brainstorm what you might have done if you were
    in Donalds situation. What would you have done
    if you were another student in Donalds class and
    saw him being bullied?
