• Providing intellectual and physical access to
  materials in all formats.
• Provide instruction to foster competence and
  stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using
  information and ideas.

• Information overload is the inability to extract
  needed knowledge from an immense quantity of
  information for one of many reasons
• no knowledge of information existing
