Entry Qualifications
  • - Native speakers who have completed their
    undergraduate degree and are interested in
    language teaching.
  • - Undergraduate students with English Major who
    have completed 75 or more credits and are looking
    for additional vocational qualifications in
    English.
  • - Peace Core/social workers with extended
    stay
  • abroad.
  • - Non-native speakers may be admitted if
    they have
  • completed undergraduate from an
    American
  • university, have a very high TOEFL
    score and a
  • near native speaker competency for
    communicating
  • in English.
  • - PALS administration reserves the right to
    ask for a
  • personal interview with selected/all
    applicants.

Course structure
  • The course will be offered in a blended format
    students will follow courses online and will have
    to complete a well structured practicum
  • e-college platform will be used for the online
    delivery
  • The program will run over two PALS sessions or
    (one university semester)
  • The students will have the flexibility to
    complete the practicum either at PALS or in
    another school which will need to be approved by
    PALS.
  • Students will have o obtain special permission to
    complete the program over an extended period of
    time.
  • Certificate will be awarded only after ALL
    courses and the practicum have been completed.

TUITION FEES
  • - Tuition Fees 1450
  • Student fee 125
  • (Rutgers University students are exempt)
  • Practicum Fee 200
  • (exempt If the practicum is taken outside
    PALS)
  • NOTE The student will arrange to obtain all
    prescribed text books (buy or borrow from the
    library)
  • - Will show proof of health insurance for the
    duration of the practicum

PRACTICUM
  • Students will attend a well structured practicum.
  • A student can take practicum after completing all
    online modules.
  • The practicum module will be completed in two
    parts
  • Part I - Strategies for Lesson Planning
    Delivery
  • Part II Observing Delivering an ESL
    Class.
  • The activities will include observing classes,
    preparing lesson plans, teaching practice
    lessons. Appropriate end of the course
    evaluation will be evolved.
  • The Proficiency Certificate will be awarded
    only after all the course work and the practicum
    have been completed.
