    are made available by GREEN PEACE EST. which got

Applications at POF Of the ISPS CODE
Responsibilities of Shipping Agencies Based in
Fujairah
  • Fax to Marine Dept. 72 hour prior vessels
    arriving the permission to enter POF or FOAA and
    other required information (Notice to Mariners No
    80 issued on 16/6/2004)
  • Ensure that no unauthorized personnel are onboard
    of their boats and each person must hold a proper
    Immigration pass to proceed to anchorage area.
  • Ensure that all safety gears are as per SOLAS and
    must be available with valid certificate at
    assigned positions onboard of the agents utility
    boats.
  • Ensure that all the cargo on their utility boats
    belongs to their vessel and are safe and exactly
    as requested by the ships master or ships owner
    prior leaving from the port.
  • Prior requesting gate passes from port gate
    office for the personnel providing the services
    to the vessels at FOAA or POF,
  • the agent should ensure that the personnel are
    from a company whose name is registered with POF.

Required Actions from vessels calling FOAA at
level 1
  • Notice to Agent No. 11/2003
  • Vessels should not lower gangway or pilot ladder
    to utility boats till have adequate information
    of cargo and boarding persons and must be secured
    back its position immediately after use.
  • Vessels should maintain good communication with
    Port Control ships Agent by VHF telephone.
  • One watchman at least should be at bridge all the
    time monitoring the ship.
  • Fire pump with fire monitor should be ready for
    operation with short notice.
  • Enough light should be on main deck at night.
