Rhinos
  • The rhinos horn has two main uses.
  • a. to plow up the ground for
    minerals and salt
  • b. used as a weapon when rhinos fight
  • Each rhinos hoof has three toes.
  • Rhinos have real bad eye sight.

Parrots
  • Parrots feet have a very strong grip
  • They like to eat nuts with hard shells because
    the bird has a big, tough bill.
  • Most parrots are very sociable ( enjoy being with
    other parrots).

Deer
  • A deer trys to look scared and stretches it neck
    out when it is challenging another deer.
  • Young deer are so playful because it helps them
    practice running.
  • a deers antlers reach full size in about three
    months.

Cheetah
  • Cheetah mothers are very protective of their
    young.
  • The bones in a cheetahs foot are specially made
    to take a pounding of the hard run.
  • A cheetah has tear lines that run from their
    eyes to it mouth- the lines may help protect the
    cheetahs eyes from the glare of the sun.

Owls
  • An owl can turn their head so far and fast that
    it looks like a top spinning.
  • Due to an owls wings it can fly quieter than
    most birds.
  • Hunt their food at night.

  • Mother tigers are one of the most loving and
    caring mothers in the animal kingdom.
  • A tigers tail tells another tiger what is being

  • No two tigers faces are alike, this is how you
    can tell them apart.

Bears
  • The bears front claws are longer than their back
    claws.
  • At birth a bear is blind with very little fur on
    its body.
  • A polar bears front feet are webbed for paddling
    in the water.

Crocadiliansalligators, crocodiles, and gharials
  • Crocodilians can see other animals with out
    being seen because their eyes and nostrils are
    located on the top of their head.
  • Crocodiles are the second most dangerous animals
    to people living in Africa.
  • A crocodile will not eat an Egyptian plover even
    if it walks up to its mouth this is because this
    bird helps keep the crocodiles teeth cleaned.

Eagles
  • There are 59 different kinds of eagles.
  • Eagles have hollow bones to make them
    lightweight.
  • Bald eagles use the same nest year after year.
