6Why are we here?
- meeting is mechanism to inform the contracting
community of the upcoming SAS Superstructure and
In Bay foundation contracts. - meeting is a way to create a dialogue with
contractors, especially on issues of concern. - for example we heard at May 13, 2002 workshop,
mobilization payment for an "over the water" job
does allow an acceptable cash flow for primes. We
effected a change to the Public Contract Code for
jobs of 25 million over water
