  • Analogy from architecture, your job is to

  • rooms (your pages).
  • 2) So, 1st step in creating a Web site in
    FrontPage
  • is to define a FrontPage Web.

  • After you select a location for your Web site and
    a template, files and folders will be generated ,
    FrontPage generates a Web site for you.
  • The next step is to create a Home Page
  • Navigation view lets you add new pages to your
    web site. You can easily create levels and child
    pages.

    process. From here you can call up the FrontPage
    Editor.

  • Right pane displays list of files supporting the
    web

  • List of files supporting the web is displayed in
    the left pane.
  • Presents a graphical representation of how each
    file in your Web is linked to each other in the
    right pane.
  • Hyperlink Status View
  • FrontPage lets you automatically verify each link
    in your Web.
  • Each internal link is checked flagged if broken
  • External links are also listed and checked if
    connected to the Internet

  • Items on the Tasks list are placed there either
    by a web wizard or by you.

Shared Borders
  • Page regions reserved for content that you want
    to appear consistently throughout your pages.
  • Shared borders usually contain navigation bars.
  • When you create a FrontPage Web in Navigation
    view, shared borders navigation bars are
    automatically created and updated.
