Outlines
  • The WIN/LOSE Era
  • Why Spiritual Intelligence?
  • Q A

4
The Win/Lost Era
  • Let us begin by reflecting on the underlying
norms and thinking that employment and our entire
    Industrial Age Systems rest upon
  • What do you find?

5
The Win/Lost Era
The inherent win/lose nature of slavery and
serfdom is self-evident.
Tribal Life
However, how is a controlled economy inherently a
win/lose system?
Agricultural Age
  • Any economy that must be controlled to maintain
order is one based upon fear NOT LOVE..what would
free humans or companies do without control??

Industrial Age
  • The heart of the controlled economy is its
    win/lose compensation system. salary, vacation,
    benefits, positions, survival, growth, resources,
    prestige, etcThe Added Value Concept

Greedy, Sinful, Lazy, Violent, Selfish etc
6
The Win/Lose Era
  • Win/lose
  • Is so pervasive in our civilization that we are
not even aware that we live in a win/lose norm.
It is like the fish saying, What is water?
  • Competitive sports serve an important role in a
fear based win/lose civilization. They are
supposed to socialize us with the driving
motivation to win and to lose gracefully, which
    is as critical as winning.

7
The Win/Lose Era
  • But, what other lessons are also taught with
    competitive sport?
  • Focus on the way we do not want to feel
  • Do it unto them before they do it unto us
  • Get your needs met at other peoples expense etc

And then, we see gangs and criminals operating by
these same rules, for some reason we are
appalled. We ask in surprise and denial, Where
did they learn such values eh?
8
The Win/Lose Era
  • Think about it
  • What is the first thing that a child do when
    watching a new cartoon?
  • How about the focus of criminal justice wining
    or the truth??
  • What is the top priority and primary focus of a
    politician??

If we spend time in a warped, painful,
destructive or win/lose environment, we then see
all of life through this extremely clouded and
distorted window, BASED UPON FEAR.
9
The Win/Lose Era
Fear is the primary motivator in the Win/Lose
Era.
The fear of the consequences of losing makes
winning extremely important. It forces us
reactively and defensively to look for ways NOT
TO LOSE first as opposed to looking for ways to
proactively win.
Eat or Be Eaten
10
The Win/Lose Era
Our fear based insecurities drove people to
compete with a deep desire to control others.
AND, these insecurities breed LOW emotional
intelligence and spiritual awareness. They breed
victims.
In fact, a finite wealth era is fueled by mass
victimization.
11
The Conceptual Model of EQ
The Win/Lose Era
Self (Personal Competence)
Others (Social Competence)
Social Awareness (Empathy)
Self Awareness
Awareness
Self Management (Self-regulation and Motivation)
Relationship Management (Social Skills)
Action
12
Parental and social conditioning Driving
insanity to lives in an insane world.
The Win/Lose Era
Unfortunately, we, to varying degrees, have
already been programmed to see through a win/lose
fear based window. This is our victim window and
in many cases, it limits our self-awareness and
blinds us from seeing the roles we play in
creating our OWN problems.
And our scarcity based competitive civilization
is driven by the inability to see from others
perspectives to disconnect, to objectify, to
blame and judge. If one empathizes with ones
opponent too much one may lose. e.g. a lion
killing its prey.
13
The Win/Lose Era
  • In fact, all or our society is based upon
win/lose judgment from companies, to religion, to
schools, to the judicial system and more
  • Ours is a judgmental worldview
  • Examples
  • My way is the only way.
  • If you dont believe in my.., you are going to
    hell
  • The heroes who conquer North America Hitler

The ability for denial is rooted in our evolved
ability to only see events from our limited
perspective. And, this denial allows us to
cope with the things we must do to survive in a
win/lose finite wealth worldview.
14
The Win/Lose Era
So, can we take all of these and the rest of our
win/lose civilization as absolute and the only
way things can work, especially as we move into
the Information Age?
15
The Win/Lose Era
In fact, a society filled with victims, for many,
does work very well. The society was able to
advance significantly in the past and progress
from mass victimization. Our scarcity and mass
victimization paradigm actually worked to create
wealth in the Win/Lose Era with such institutions
as serfdom and representative public work. So,
why do many believe that we only recently became
a society of victims?
16
The Win/Lose Era
What has happened is that victimization has
recently become dysfunctional. Rather than
contributing to the growth of society, it today
has begun to subtract from it!!!
BOOT CAMP Distressed Patterns Tough as a Rock!
E.g. Vietnam Veterans
17
The Win/Lose Era
  • What is the one BIG DIFFERENCE in the Knowledge
    Era?

18
The Win/Lose Era
  • The losing individuals are empowered
  • leading directly to LOSE/LOSE situations

19
The Win/Lose Era
  • If we go into the Information Age and develop no
more EQ and spiritual awareness than we are
today, then well simply destroy ourselves out of
the fear derived from our win/lose paradigm.

We are in fact a civilization of children with
enormous potential to create or DESTROY e.g. play
dough and plastic explosives recent violent
incidences round the world
Anywhere Anytime Anyone
!!!

Frightened??

Next the need for SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE?
21
At the workplace
22
Why SQ?
RATIONAL INTELLIGENCE IQ Data analysis,
calculation or Logical reasoning
In the current macro-economic situation,
corporate success does not depend on employees
high level of rational quality only.
High level of rational intelligence has become
relatively COMMON in todays societies. Its
usefulness for corporations can be substantially
increased through the synergy of work teams.
NO DOUBT Excellent education, practical
knowledge and experience are still of great
importance but with time their role have changed
into a PREREQUISITE which is no longer sufficient
to build a sustained competitive advantage.
23
Why SQ?
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE EQ Allows to skillfully
manage emotions, resulting in better
work efficiency, task coordination
and communication
Unfortunately, in order for a synergy to take
place, teams must meet the basic criterion
their respective members need to have a high
level of EQ. Team members need to want and
know how to work with each other, communicate,
solve problems or carefully listen to if
necessary.
AND Based on years of research and observations,
it has been proven that EQ is an indispensable
condition for a corporate success. Many
corporations have been through EQ training
sessions or seminars. Surprisingly, it has
turned out that the training conducted is NOT
EFFECTIVE nor USEFUL!!! WHY?
24
Why SQ?
The answer lies in the complex human
personalities. It is virtually impossible for
an adult to form new personal characteristics in
a 2-3 days seminar.
Those characteristics refer to the deep
psychological construction and cannot be acquired
in the same way as rational knowledge. The
road to human psyche is quite different from the
road to clean mathematical solution.
25
EMOTIONS
  • It can not be delegated!!

26
Help comes with SQ.
  • It is UNIVERSAL and has always been with us
  • but only recently scientists and psychologists
have decided to finally name it.

27
Why SQ?
  • In early 2000, authors Dana Zohar and Ian
Marshall introduced this new dimension to human
    intelligence.
  • Neither IQ nor EQ, separately or in combination,
is enough to explain the full complexity of human
intelligence, especially in the vast richness of
    the human soul and imagination.

    intelligence.
  • Neither IQ nor EQ, separately or in combination,
is enough to explain the full complexity of human
intelligence, especially in the vast richness of
    the human soul and imagination.
  • SQ is the ultimate intelligence used to solve
problems of meaning and value, place our actions
and our lives in a wider, richer, meaning giving
    context.
  • Is my job giving me the fulfillment I seek? Am
I relating to the people in my life in a way that
contributes to their happiness and mine?
Answers to these questions determine whether we
    will find happiness or not.

28
Why SQ?
  • Is not about being religious.
  • Gives us our moral sense, an ability to
    questiontemper rigid rules with understanding
and compassion and an equal ability to see when
compassion and understanding have their limits.
  • Gives us the ability to discriminate.
  • Allows human beings to change the rules and alter
situations for themselves driven from within.

Higher Self/Ego Awareness/ Mastery Universal
Awareness Inner Voices Internal BOD
In simpler terms, SQ allows us to wrestle with
questions of good and evil and to envision
unrealized possibilities.. the blind spot of the
WIN-LOSE ERA
29
SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE SQ Deep understanding,
sense of life, Joy and love emanation.
Why SQ?
SQ is INNER WISDOM guided by compassion for inner
and outer peace. It is superior to IQ and EQ
for it allows us to define/redefine VALUES and
find new ones.
  • It refers to the understanding of oneself, the
sense of life and final destiny.the MEANING OF
    EXISTENCE.
  • It stands behind the deepest levels of human
    personality INTERNAL MOTIVATION

30
Why SQ?
Work with SQ allows a person to reach for ones
DEEPEST POTENTIALS and prepare the basis to work
with further positive changes in EQ. Its
usefulness and adaptability is priceless for a
corporation as it links GREAT WORK ATMOSTPHERE
with excellent results in the long run.
31

32
In conclusion, the transition to the new era
necessitates
  • SQ
  • To find the meaning for EQ
  • the meaning for not becoming a victim of the
    WIN/LOSE Era

33
Words of Wisdom
  • Most people find that the hardest person to
    forgive is themselves.

The true warrior is one who has the courage to do
battle with the enemies within.
34
Words of Wisdom
  • When you can not forgive another, they control
    you.

35
FinallyWhat you believe yourself to be, you are
  • Your beliefs shape your actions
  • Your actions create your results
  • And those results, when stretched out over a
    lifetime, are what is called
