  • To provide examples and templates for advocacy
    and marketing.

  • Programs or activities designed to raise the
    profile of the teacher librarian and/or the
    library services available.
  • Examples reading programs, contests, after
    school activities, staff development,
    announcements, book clubs, committees, meetings

    suggestions from now until December

  • The calendar is only one way to advocate
  • HOW COULD YOU USE THIS?

Define Collaboration
  • Creating a lesson or a unit with a teacher (or
    teachers) that divides the work, doubles the
    brain power and halves the student teacher ratio.
  • Examples creating a unit from scratch, altering
    a unit to include information literacy or
    technology integration
  • Collaboration to try Monday mentally review a
    list of upcoming lessons (American revolution,
    science fiction, etc), think of a way you can
    improve that lesson, write up an outline and take
    it to a receptive teacher.

  • Offer orientation to any continuing teacher who
