- To provide students with a supportive and
interactive peer environment. Further, the
project may assist students with academic
accomplishment while promoting a dynamic,
involved student community across all years. We
value diversity and student involvement in

9Mentor Expectations
- A peer who is willing to establish an open
trusting relationship with the mentee,
confidentiality is respected - Is responsible to the mentee, NOT for them
- The program encourages mentors to be motivators
and guiders advocating for the less experienced
person in the transition to College and or
University - Able to Share knowledge about specific jobs,
career paths, industries, and organizational
cultures - Willing to be available and maintain consistent
contact - Willing to share experience and expectations
- Someone willing to provide support to peers
- There is no set amount of time pairs have to
spend with each other, but we promote contact
throughout the semester as schedules allow,
ideally in person, or through email/phone - Willing to make this a great experience as both
travel the journey together

- They are not councilors, but can refer to
counseling services - They are not editors of assignments, or personal
paper writers etc - They are busy and the time limits and
availability will be set from the beginning - Any Concerns are Directed Towards Year 1 and 2
