• What is EMR - SS?
• EMR SS is an Electronic Medical Record Software
  Solution designed for small to medium medical
  practices. It has been developed to provide a
  low cost, robust, secure and reliable recording
  and reporting mechanism of patient health
  records.
• It has been designed with the vision that
  improved record keeping will directly improve the
  quality of care that patients receive, as medical
  histories will be more readily available and
  accessible to clinicians. This of course will
  positively impact on the patients perception and

• EMR-SS implements basic security features such as
  password and username authentication.
• The software also implements permission based
  usage. That is, there are permissions/privileges
  associated to almost every screen of the

  non-clinical staff to only view and edit patient
  demographics while clinicians can have greater
  scope.
• Privileges can be assigned via user groups or to
  individual users or a combination of both.

• EMR-SS is a three level software application that
  allows all records to be stored in a central
  location and accessed from anywhere in the world
  using a web browser.

• How EMR-SS works (contd)?
• The Database Server and Web Server are software
  applications that are stored on the central
  computer. This can be a low end computer with
  Windows 2000/XP/Vista or Linux.
• The other computers and/or laptops connect to
  the Database Server (where all patient and user
  information is stored) via the Web Server using a
  web browser (Firefox web browser recommended).
• All access and modifications to patient records
  and other aspects of the application are done via
  the web browser. This ensures that the database
  is accessed only via the Web Server, thus
  increasing security.

• The application can also be accessed from the
  computer on which it is installed (facilitating a
  single user scenario if necessary). Installation
  of EMR-SS onto a computer does not prohibit the
  computer from being used for every day tasks such
  as browsing the web, viewing email, writing
  letters, chat, etc.
• The application periodically backs up the
  database . This data can be saved to an external
  hard drive , usb flash drive, other computers ,
  etc.

High Street Castries. has been instrumental in
helping me to take my private practice to a new
level. We needed a program simple enough to
permit all levels of staff to fulfill their roles
comfortably. We got more than we were asking
for. developed electronic medical record
software which is easy to use and upgrade, secure
and reliable with nothing less than perfect
networking. Greater ease in record keeping has
meant that information is stored quicker and
greater organization has meant that stored
information is readily accessible. This software
