Objectives
  • Insure the safe and orderly growth of
    international civil aviation throughout the world
  • Encourage the development of airways, airports,

    of international civil aeronautics

Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs)
  • Standards and Recommended Practices are set out
    in 18 Annexes to the Convention
  • Cover all technical and operational aspects of
    international civil aviation Annex 6 (
    Operations of Aircraft ) addresses Cabin Crew.
  • Standards are specifications the uniform
    application of which is necessary for the safety
    or regularity of international civil aviation
  • Recommended Practice is one agreed to be
    desirable but not essential
