  • Introduced Zoning into CAMHS.

  • Aquarius one of pilot wards for Primary
    Indicators in Nursing.
  • Early onset of Psychosis protocols introduced.
  • Introduced multi family group work in eating
    disorders.
  • Working directly with schools.

    over a distance to adult services.
  • Local v out of area referrals distance/geography.
  • Buildings, environment and facilities not fit for
    purpose.
  • Integrated training across the services.
  • Variable make up of the 3 multi-disciplinary
    teams.

Summary
  • The current configuration of specialist child,
    adolescent and family services within the trust
    is unique in the N.H.S.
  • Child and Adolescent mental health and emotional
    well-being is moving up the political agenda.
  • Developing a lasting, innovative national centre
    of excellence around these services provides a
    unique opportunity as the trust bids for
    Foundation status.
