Introduction
  • Why Intelligent Surveillance System?
  • There are lots of CCTV cameras and digital video
    recorders at airports, stations, banks, companies
    and so on for security, surveillance, and crime
    prevention.
  • Current surveillance system needs many operators
    and it takes so long to review the video that has
    been recorded.
  • Intelligent Surveillance System is based on
    Computer Vision so that computer can
    automatically analysis the video information
    which acquire from cameras.
  • Master-Slave Camera System
  • High resolution images are needed for further
    perceptual analysis like face recognition,
    activity recognition and audio-visual speech
    recognition
  • Master Camera is a static camera that has a wide,
    fixed field of view.
  • Slave Camera is a dynamic camera that pan, tilt
    and zoom so that acquire high resolution images.

What I have done
  • Get the movie from SNC-RZ25N camera using Sony
    Network Camera SDK.

What I have done
  • Segment the foreground pixels of the images using
    a MoG (Mixture of Gaussians).

  • Group the foreground pixels into components based
    on pixel connectivity by a connected components
    algorithm.
  • Demo

Future Work
  • Calculate the correspondence relation between the
    view of master camera and slave camera
  • Transform the coordinates of object in the view
    of master camera to that in the view of slave
    camera
  • Control slave camera so that acquire high
    resolution image of objects
