• Thump, Thump, Thump, the massive creature bounds
  across the outback, joey hanging out of her
  pouch. This is a scene from the average day of a
  Red Kangaroo.

Physical Characteristics

• The Red Kangaroo is 3-9 feet in height. It weighs
  from 40 pounds to 50 pounds. Its tail is 42
  inches long. It has a naked muzzle and black and
  white marks on the side of the muzzle.On its
  head it has a white stripe from the corner of
  its mouth to the base of its ear.

Habitat

• Red Kangaroos are mostly found in inland
  Australia. They live in a variety of shrub lands,
  arid grasslands, malle scrubs, mulga country, and
  deserts.

Feeding

• The Red Kangaroo is a herbivore. It eats a large
  variety of grasses and low herbaceous plants.

Predators

• Red Kangaroos are preyed by Dingoes and Eagles.
  Tasmanian Devils used to prey on them but now are
  not a threat. If Red kangaroos get into seep
  fields, sheep farmers will shoot them.

• The scientific name for the Red Kangaroo is
  Macropus Rufus.
• It is the largest marsupial in the world.
• They box Stand on hind legs and knock opponent
  by jabbing, locking forearms, or kicking with

• Red Kangaroos can swim.
• They only live in Australia.
• They swallow their food whole.
