Pharmacists associated with 403 stores were asked
if they ever experienced problems in providing EC
because they lacked staff covered by EC
protocols. Overall, 42 of the pharmacies
reported occasional to frequent problems in
providing EC service due to this reason. 59 of
the chains experienced occasional to frequent
problems in providing EC. Independent pharmacies
experienced less difficulty in ensuring staff
coverage.
