Lesko Goal To develop numerical models of
surfboard deformation and dynamic response using
in-action load analyses. This project will
address the mechanics of surfboard materials,
focusing on strength, flexural response,
environmental impact, and overall performance.
Executive Summary This project seeks to
implement engineering testing and analyses to
improve upon the design and capability of
surfboards. Design Overview -Assemble data
acquisition system and collect strain
data -Develop a numerical model of deformation
and vibration -Create prospective new surfboard
design based on mechanical analyses and materials
research
