  • As in previous years, we tend to talk about
    accomplishments for the whole grant, not just
    Collin since Collin is the lead

It Continues to be a Major Awareness Campaign
  • In Fall, 2004, most people said Convergence?
    Whats that?
  • Now, its Green IT Whats that?
  • With a variety of events, work with the partners
    we now have recognition and more for convergence
    with
  • 5400 faculty and staff
  • 68,000 students and parents
  • 3800 business people

  • Majors are up
  • Graduates slowly growing
  • Enrollments are steady
  • Underserved enrollments up
  • New opportunities through articulation agreements
  • Conscious student recruitment to address
    different populations
  • Professional development for Collin faculty has
    been and continues to be extremely valuable,
    especially with the current economic climate

  • Its not all numbers its not all direct
    contact its about targeted effort (and a little
    serendipity)
  • TechKnowFire numbers were small, BUT, targeted
  • At least one attendee phoned her boyfriend during
    the presentation and told him to get over here!

    Hawkins, Fall 2006 with AAS degree Spring 2007
  • Three others received AAS degrees
  • Total of 11 certificates
  • One pending degrees

  • Initial class had 42, including a Collin
    Convergence grad (and a Convergence faculty
    member from El Centro)

    focus of the new grant

  • Note that this is a continual effort because
    students come and go semester by semester
