• Gives African Americans the right to vote
• States that regardless of enslavement, color, or
  race.the man may vote
• Poll taxes in some states kept them from voting

• Women have the right to vote

• Because Washington, DC was not a state- they
  werent allowed to vote
• This amendment gives them the right to vote now!!!

• Poll taxes were lifted..
• People not required to pay a poll tax before
  casting their votes
