Responsible institution Ministry for Education - Strategy
- The Ministry for Education has elaborated in the
beginning of 2004 an Education Informatics
Strategy - legal, institutional and financial framework of
ICT-supported teaching and its dissemination. - the whole high school curriculum will be
available online on the Government financed
webpage Sulinet - E-learning is dealt with within the broader
concept of distance education - well
institutionalized policy area
7Difficulties - eInclusion_at_EU
- Shortage of the necessary human and
infra-structural resources for integrating
traditional and new media - Shortage of courses with available interactive,
electronically supported curricula packages in
Hungarian language - There are many available curricula in other
languages, but important segments of the target
groups of e-Learning - such as the unemployed -
are typically not speaking foreign languages. - The training of teachers able to teach with
e-Learning methods shows also deficiencies. - Even if the target group would be ready to obtain
knowledge through the Internet, the majority of
them think that these kind of courses are at the
present time not accepted e.g. by the employers
