    cause of premature death in Ireland approx 43 of
    all deaths (DOH, 1999)
  • Coronary artery disease accounts for 25 of all
    deaths (DOH 1999)

  • Chest pain is considered the major clinical
    presentation of patients with Acute Coronary
    Syndrome
