- Expensive private medicine could not exceed the
standard of care I received - Toilets only appeared to be cleaned once a day
under seats and basins could be cleaned more
often - Walsgrave was great
- Every one was brilliant from cleaners to nursing
staff. I couldnt fault anyone

- Even when the nursing staff etc., were busy, the
standard of hygiene was never compromised. - The difference Ive seen in just a year is very
pleasing indeed. - Nurses, doctors, domestic staff were marvellous,
I give them a big THANK YOU.

- Excellent friendly service with a great deal of
care a vast difference from a previous
experience in a private hospital the Walsgrave
is far better - If you have to be in hospital, I think I have
been lucky being treated in this one

- Patients and staff requested reduced visiting
times and stricter rules - New times and rules started 1st March 2005
includes - Visiting Times 2pm-4pm and 6.30pm-8pm
- Two visitors per bed
- No sitting on beds

- Cleaning resources redirected from administrative
buildings to ward areas to double the number of
times toilets cleaned - New floors and walls painted in one ward within
one month of receiving questionnaires with
patient comments - Escalation process commenced to increase response
time for repairs and cleaning

- Project has been very successful resulting in
speedy actions in response to patient feed-back - The project has motivated staff and improved
patient perceptions of the Trust - INFECTION RATES REDUCED
- New visiting times and rules successfully
implemented
