Focus on God, Not the Problem71-2

• Focusing on the problem leads to
• Fear
• Dread
• Anxiety
• Stress
• Worry
• If we are consumed with fear, worry, or anxiety,
  we are not focused on God.

• On WHO He is
• His sovreignty
• His power
• His purposes
• His Word
• Ask these 3 questions
• What is God doing?
• What is God saying to me?
• What is God trying to teach me?

• Seeking God in the circumstances brings peace
• Peace cannot coexist with fear, worry, and
  anxiety
• The peace from God transcends fear, worry, and
  anxiety

Act in Faith, not Worldly Wisdom79-16

• There is a fine line between confidence and
  faith, and that line is action
• Acting in faith means putting into practice the
  things we say we believe!
• Let go of it.
• Release God to do what HE wants to do.
• TRUST God completely.

• If our focus is on God, and we trust believe
  in Him, it is easier to act in faith
• If our focus is on the problem, we tend to trust
  in worldly wisdom/solutions for the problem and
  we will NOT act in faith.
• How do we know if we are basing our actions on
  faith or worldly wisdom?
• Is there a peace?
• Is it based on trust in God and His revealed
  truth?

• If you do not stand firm in your faith, then you
  will NOT stand at all.

CONCLUSION

• Focus on God NOT the threat.
• Be honest with the Lord, yourself and others.
• Place your trust in the Lord and His promises.
• Base your actions on faith in the Lords revealed
  truth.
