Plant Kingdom

Cell Structure
  • Plant cells are Eukaryotic. That means that they
have a nucleus. Plant Cells also have cell
walls. It is rigid and helps protect and
    support the plant.

3
  • Plant cells also have chloroplasts. That is
where sunlight in converted into sugar through
    the process of photosynthesis.

4
Number of Cells
  • Plants are all Multicellular!

5
Movement
  • Most plant cells do not move. They stay where
they are planted. Venus fly traps can respond to
a bug that gets too close, though.

6
Nutrition
  • Plants are producers and make their own food by
converting sunlight to sugar. This is the only
kingdom that is made up entirely of producers.

7
Reproduction
  • Plants can reproduce both sexually and asexually.
The sex cells are eggs and pollen. They
reproduce asexually through budding and runners
with plantlets at the end of them.
