Sin Is Serious Matter

• Sin separates man from God (Isa. 591-2)
• Behold, Jehovahs hand is not shortened, that it
  cannot save neither His ear heavy that it cannot
  hear but your iniquities have separated between
  you and your God, and your sins have hid His face
  from you, so that He will not hear.
• We must understand the nature of sin avoid it
  (Heb. 312-13 2 Cor. 211)

What Is Sin?

• Involves actions, thoughts or both (Isa. 557)
• All unrighteousness is sin (1 Jn. 517)
• Sin is transgression of Gods law (1 Jn. 34)
• Rom. 319-20 O.T. law gave knowledge of sin
• Rom. 77-13 Law not sin itself, but defined it
• Jas. 121-26 Perfect law defines purifies
• Action not of faith is sin (Rom. 1423)
• Failing to do known right is sin (Jas. 417)
• Thoughts actions opposed to God

• God abominates, hates is sickened by sin
• Deut. 2516 Abomination unto Jehovah
• Psa. 115 His soul hateth
• Prov. 616 God hatesabomination to Him
• Zech. 817 All these are things that I hate
• Lk. 1615 An abomination in sight of God
• Rev. 316 I will spew you out of My mouth
• Sin is not just a technical violation of law
• Sin is an affront to holy nature of God

Sins Nature Unchanged by Cause

• People sin due to various causes (Titus 33)
• Foolish - ignorance of law
• Disobedient - lacking strength to obey weak
• Deceived - fooled by Satans lie about sin
• Serving divers lusts pleasures - willful
• Whether sins of ignorance, weakness or rebellion,
  sins still separate man from God
• Different causes affect mans reaction to sin,
  not Gods definition or contempt for sin

Some Say Continuous Cleansing Even As We Sin
for Christians
One preacher affirmed The Scriptures teach
that the Christian who lives before God with a
penitent attitude benefits from the blood of
Christ even as he sins for if he walks in the
light, the blood of Christ cleanses him from all
iniquity.

Grace in Preaching of Paul (Acts 2018-35)

• Unpopular points that brought affliction on Paul
• Teaching that was needful to bring faith
  repentance
• Preaching the kingdom of God
• Declaring the whole counsel of God
• Repeated admonition warning (night day - 3
  years)
• Using word as the source for edification hope
• Showing same self-sacrifice service taught by
  Christ
• Many today fail to associate such words with grace

When we understand the nature of sin Gods
grace properly, we have the same reaction to
continued sin that the apostle Paul stated
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin
that grace may abound? God forbid! We who died to
sin, how shall we any longer live therein? (Rom.
61-2).
True grace is not found in sin, but in Christ
in His word
