    (bathroom, locker, water, etc.)
  • Get your binder, pencil sharpened, homework out,
    etc

6
Key Procedures (how we do things)
  • Once youre in---youre IN
  • No one leaves unless I have seen a medical
excuse, official documentation from the office,
    or serious personal need
  • One hall pass, and we dont have time to waste
    filling out hall passes

7
Key Procedures (how we do things)
  • Spongefirst thing when you walk in
  • The sponge is always your first assignment of the
day, and you dont have much time to complete
    them
  • They are independent work usually based on
    previous learning
  • They are graded!

8
Key Procedures (how we do things)
  • Work must be turned in on time!!!
  • Late work results in loss of points, lunch
d-hall, notice of concern, and/or discipline
referral (not to mention a boring tirade from
    me!)
  • Work must be done in blue/black ink or pencil
(work in other colors will not be accepted)

9
Key Procedures (how we do things)
  • TAKS Homework
  • Every Wednesday
  • Turned in every Thursday
  • No excuses
  • Read the frontAnswer the questions on the
    backSIMPLE

Typical Day (cont.)
  • Learning takes place
  • Teacher (not bell) dismisses students by rows to
    put binders on shelf
  • When dismissed, students leave room in an orderly
fashion prepared to do homework and retain the
    days lesson!
