Deductions vs. Direct Deposits
Payroll Items
  • Payroll Deductions are time consuming, cumbersome
and require considerable time on the back end to
    balance and maintain.
  • Planning to return to the old standard of
    processing payroll deductions for payees
receiving more than 100 payments from the
    employee base
  • Parking, the Y and certain memberships would be
excluded from the list to be cut.
  • Insurance companies are primary ones for
    consideration.
  • Some are receiving only 3-5 payments .

31
32
Deductions vs. Direct Deposits
Payroll Items
  • Payments scheduled for Credit Unions or other
financial institutions would be switched from
    payroll deduction to Direct Deposit.
  • (State Credit Union has already begun the
transfer from payroll deduction to deposit)
  • The process would be less expensive for us and
provide faster service for you when making
    payments to these institutions.
