• Pam Amour (Playgroup NSW) has been wonderfully
  helpful. The school supplied a teachers aide,

How playgroup started?

• Ms Boyle brought the parents and the school
  together to form an effective learning unit.

" What Did You Hope To Achieve ?"

• We wanted to help incoming preschoolers to
  integrate with the school and its environment.

What were we aiming for?

• We aimed to allow parents the opportunity to
  network and to learn about school life.

How Did The Project Develop?

• The school received a grant from Families First
  and Ms Boyle coordinated the playgroup for the
  year to give parents a chance to adjust.

• Mr Patterson, the principal, involved Playgroup
  NSW to establish a self sufficient model.

What Went Well?

• The location proved ideal in almost every
  respect. Parent rosters controlled food
  availability and the craft items used each week.

• Parents supervised their children effectively and
  involved themselves in their games.

What Would You Do Differently?

• A larger meeting space would be helpful, even
  though our room was good.

• Sickness impacted on our activities during
  winter. A larger group would help.
