- The Urban Land Market plays an important role in
the urbanisation process - The most significant influence in changing urban
environments is through allocation of land to the
most economical use - Land markets are increasingly becoming informal
which is changing residential development
patterns with associated environmental problems. - Kampala is a fast growing city in which the
informal land market has heated up while the
environmental and land use changes being felt
through housing development
