MSTP MISSION
  • To provide training in MAGTF, Joint and Combined
    warfighting skills to Marine Corps forces with a
    particular emphasis on senior commanders and
    their staffs.

OBJECTIVES
  • Improve the warfighting skills of senior
    commanders and their staffs
  • Develop a common understanding of MAGTF doctrine
  • Enhance the capabilities to employ a MAGTF in a
    joint environment
  • Provide feedback into the Combat Development
    Process

TASKS
  • Conduct the warfighting seminar and exercise
    program for MAGTF and MSC commanders and their
    staffs
  • Support joint exercises, operations and
    contingencies
  • Assist in the development of MAGTF concepts and
    doctrine

SUPPORTING TASKS
  • Provide task-organized Mobile Training Teams
  • Provide instruction to Marine Corps University
  • Conduct the General Officer Warfighting Program
  • Develop and refine tactics, techniques, and
    procedures for the use of C4I technologies to
    support decision making
  • C4I Functional MTT
  • C4I Technical MTT
  • Serve as executive agent for JCATS/MTWS modeling
    and simulation support
  • Manage 5 simulation sites
  • I MEF, II MEF, III MEF, 29 Palms, and Quantico
  • 52 exercises annually

    major CINC-level exercises and contingencies.
