THE CURSEIn France
  • The Hope Diamond has a history of bad luck.
After being stolen from a Hindu god by Jean
Baptiste Tavernier the diamond (Then called
French Blue) was sold to King Louis XIV in
1668. It was passed down from generation to
generation. According to the legend, Louis XVI
and his wife, Marie Antoinette were beheaded due
to the diamond. The diamond was stolen after the
    French Revolution.

possession of Evalyn McLean. She died at a young
age of 60 after her children died and her husband
went insane. Finally, came into possession of
Harry Winston. He donated it to the Smithsonian
