Title: Joshuas Long Day

1
Joshuas Long Day
  • Joshua 10
  • 12 "Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when
the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the
children of Israel, and he said in the sight of
Israel, sun stand thou still upon Gibeon and
    thou, moon upon Ajalon.
  • 13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed,
until the people had avenged themselves upon
their enemies. Is not this written in the book of
Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of
heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole
day. 14 And there was no day like that before it
or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the
voice of a man for the LORD fought for Israel."

2
The sun stood still from the half of heaven
  • If the sun moved half way around the earth to
stand still in the noon sky for 12 hours a day,
earth must flow into a reverse orbit of the sun.
  • Earths orbit must be exactly as it would have
been to leave no biological trace.

3
Rotation against Orbit
  • Earth loses a day each year because in its
counterclockwise orbit rotation is with orbit.
  • Earth rotates 366 times a year losing a day to
    365 days a year.
  • In the same orbit in a reverse orbit there would
    be 367 days a year.
  • To get 365 days a year earth must speed up two
days, 48 hours a reverse orbit.

4
Half an Orbit
  • Reverse orbits must usually be half an orbit.
  • If earth sped up for half an orbit there would be
about 24 hours of missing time.
  • This must be counted by the sun standing still
for 12 hours going into the reverse orbit and
coming out of the reverse orbit.
  • This 24 hours of missing time must be countered
by 24 hours of elapsed time for eclipse paths to
be the same as they would have been.

5
Missing Minutes
  • Earths orbit is elliptical
  • This means more days or less days in half an
    orbit than half a year.
  • The maximum is 186.6 days in the summer half and
178 days in the winter half.
  • 186.6/365.24 X 48 hours 24 hours and 31
    minutes.
  • 178/365.24 X 48 hours 23 hours and 29 minutes.

6
The Missing Day Story
  • In the missing day story they had 24 hours of
elapsed time and about 24 hours of missing time.
  • They checked the Bible reference to Joshua and
went back to that time and found they were still
    missing 40 minutes.
  • 40 minutes had to be found or eclipse paths on
the face of the earth would not be where we would
    project them to be.

7
Joshuas Time
  • The Exodus was April 4 1279 BC.
  • 40 years in the wilderness to April 12 1239 BC
when Israel crossed the river Jordan.
  • If in Adar the sun stands still at noon there
    will be siege and misery.
  • In the first month on the six day moon..
  • Adar is February. The first Chinese month is
February. The sixth day moon is February 25 1238
    BC.

8
  • "King Wan dreamt that he was clothed with the
sun and the moon. A phoenix duck sang on mount
K'e. In the first month of spring, on the 6th
day, the five planets had a conjunction in Fang.
Afterwards a male and female phoenix went about
Wan's capital with a writing in their beaks,
which said 'The emperor of Yin has no principle,
but oppresses and disorders the empire. The great
decree is removed Yin cannot enjoy it longer.
The powerful spirits of earth have left it all
the spirits are whistled away. The conjunction of
the five planets in Fang brightens all within the
four seas.'" The Annals of the Bamboo Books, Part
V the Dynasty of Chow, The Chinese Classics

9
How many days in Joshuas half orbit?
  • February 25 1238 BC is 92 days from earths
nearest approach to the sun November 24 1239 BC.
  • Then Joshuas half orbit is the longest it can
    be.
  • The longest summer was in 1250 AD when it was 186
    days and 14 hours.
  • Then Joshuas half orbit must be 186.53 days.

10
Joshuas missing minutes
  • 186.53/365.24 X 48 24 hours and 31 minutes.
  • 31 minutes could be rounded up to 40 minutes.
  • The spacemen were still missing 40 minutes.

11
The sun ascended
  • Ascended in Hebrew is Mahaleh.
  • The same word in Judges 813 as in II Kings 209.
  • Judges happened the same time as Joshua.
  • Gideon returned from battle before the sun
    ascended.

12
More about Gideon
  • Gideon attacked at the beginning of the second
    watch about midnight.
  • Gideon needed light to pursue the Midianites.
  • Gideons battle happened about 6 months after
    Joshuas long day.
  • 186.53 days after noon February 26 1238 BC is 2
    AM September 1.
  • The sun must return and earth flow out of the
reverse orbit 2 AM September 1.

13
Gideon needs light
  • If the sun rose in the west when the sun returned
that would counter the 12 hours 31 minutes of
missing time with 12 hours or 36 hours of elapsed
    time.
  • Gideon needs more than 12 hours to chase the
    Midianites 60 miles.
  • If Gideon had 36 hours he could return before the
    sun ascended in the east.

14
The second reverse orbit
  • We are still missing 31 minutes.
  • If the sun moves half way around earth earth must
flow into a second reverse orbit.
  • A second reverse orbit right after the first
reverse orbit equals exactly 48 hours of missing
    time.
  • Then the total elapsed time must equal 48 hours
    as well.

15
If in Adar..
  • If in Adar the sun stands still at noon time the
land will experience siege and misery.
  • Maybe the sun stood still twice in February.
  • Joshuas battle of Merom fits this omen.
  • If the sun stood still when the sun returned
after the second reverse orbit we have more than
    48 hours.
  • 12 36 12 60 hours.
  • The sun must ascend in the east for a 12 hours.

16
Before the sun ascended
  • When Joshua returned before the sun ascended was
    this a normal day?
  • The sun must have just descended from the west.
  • Then the sun ascended might mean the sun suddenly
    rose in the east.
  • If the sun suddenly rose in the west we may have
    our -12 hours.

17
It all adds up
  • When the sun rose in the west for Gideon the sun
    must stop at some point.
  • If the sun stopped at the noon position, flowed
out of the reverse orbit and rose suddenly at
dawn that is 18 hours in between.
  • 365.24 days 186.583 days 178.62 days
  • 178.6 days from 4 AM September 1 is noon February
    27 1237 BC.

18
There is no net missing time
  • Noon February 27 1238 BC is the month of Adar.
  • Then the sun stood still twice at noon in the
month of Adar to make this omen.
  • 12 hours 36 hours -12 hours 12 hours 48
    hours elapsed time.
  • 24 hours and 31 minutes plus 23 hours and 29
minutes makes 48 hours missing time.
