SLP-summer language program
  • In order to improve our English and adapt
    ourselves to the life in Canada, Humber College
    arranged all of us to join SLP.

Residence-Lake shore Campus
  • Two people in a suite
  • Kitchen, washroom are included.

What did we do in SLP?
  • We had plenty of activities to do in SLP.
  • In the morning, we had grammar lessons, and we
    had some tours in the afternoon.
  • One-day-Trip on every weekend

City tour-CN Tower
  • The highest tower in the world
  • It is the landmark of Toronto.

City tour-Rogers Centre
  • Rogers Centre is a multi-purpose stadium in
    Toronto, Ontario, situated next to the CN Tower.
  • We saw a baseball game witch is Yan-kee's V.S.
    Blue Jay's.

Trip- Wasaga Beach
  • Wasaga Beach is the worlds longest freshwater
    beach, and it is hailed as one of the premier
    tourist destinations in Ontario.

Trip- Canada's Wonderland
  • Canada's Wonderland is Canada's premier theme
    park and features over 200 attractions, more than
    65 thrilling rides, North America's greatest
    variety of roller coasters, and a 20-acre water
    park.

Trip- Niagara Falls
  • Niagara Falls is one of the Sever Wonders. You
    can take the Maid of the Mist and see how amazing
    the falls is.

Graduation Party
  • After 2 months, we had a final exam. We passed
    it, and we got a certification of SLP.

Residence- North campus
  • We started a new semester in September, and we
    moved from Lake-shore Campus to North Campus.

In class-Leadership
  • Leadership is a class which can teach us how to
    be a good leader.

Field Trips
  • We visited Niagara College which is famous for
    its winery.

Event- Taiwan Cultural Feast
  • Event planning was the most important lecture in
    this semester. We invited all teachers who taught
    us before. Also, our principal of KHC flew from
    Taiwan to join this special night.

Transportation
  • The transportation is very convenient in Canada.
    You just need one TTC ticket (CDN 2.75) and you
    can go anywhere in Toronto.

Skating Skiing
  • It is really cold in winter, so they have lots of
    activities to do.
  • We went skating and skiing, and it was very
    interesting.

Internship
  • After the first semester, everyone needed to find
    a job by their own.
  • It was the most difficult part for us because we
    did not have any work experience in Canada.

Conclusion
  • We learned a lot in this year. First of
    all, our English has improved very much. We are
    not afraid of talking to foreigners anymore.
    Secondly, the skills of dealing with
    interpersonal relationship are getting better.
    Because there are too many people from different
    countries, we knew how to respect them. Last but
    not least, it is a very wonderful experience to
    be with this group, we will keep going on
    learning English and sharing what we have got.
