Testing Center Finals
  • To use the Testing Center
  • you must be approved by your Dean, and be on
    campus and available while your test is in the
  • Testing Center.

On-Line Testing
  • We do On-line testing for on-line classes.
  • On-line tests for face to face classes are
    provided at this time.
  • Because of the stress of finals, if at all
    possible please close your on-line tests before
    finals begin.

Test Scheduling
  • Testing Center Finals must be approved by your
    Dean.
  • When your class is approved the Testing Center
    will contact you.
  • Your Dean has been given the number of tests that
    can be administered in the Testing Center for
    finals.

Test Scheduling
  • Please ask your students to come to take their
    tests administered in the Testing Center as early
    as they can.

Test Delivery
  • The test (digital or paper), key, and information
    sheet are to be delivered to the testing center
  • As early as possible and
  • No later than two weeks before the first day of
    finals.
  • There will be
  • NO RETAKES Administered
  • During Finals

Period Open
  • We will schedule your Final for 2 or 3 days and
    try to close it on the last day your class is to
    meet.
  • We ask that you be available to do in class
    Testing for problems that might occur.
  • Honor Code issues
  • Test Question problems
  • etc.

Pick-Up
  • Finals Test results and reporting will be
    available for pick-up the day after your test
    closes after 1100am.
  • Saturday following finals from 1100 to 100.
  • Write-On partial test pickup is OK.
  • We can provide you with an ASCII file with scores
    and responses by request.

Batch Testing
  • This can be done all year.
  • Pick up blue (batch) answer sheets
  • No charge to the department
  • Administer the test in class with answers and
    identification marked on the Batch sheet.
  • Improperly marked sheets (NO Unique ID) and the
    sheet will not be scored.
  • Surveys NOT AVAILABLE DURING FINALS

Batch Scheduling
  • No scheduling is necessary
  • Just deliver to the Test Center Office when it is
    completed.
  • Setup and scoring normally doesnt take long.
  • Many can wait for results
  • Depending on how busy we are.
  • Examstat reports are delivered by email
    automatically when the test is scored.

Batch Scoring
  • Merged
  • Batch scores attached to the Test Center student
    record.
  • Testing history is maintained
  • Reported in standard section reports, Examstat,
    and on the WEB page.
  • Students can see their scores on-line.
  • Non-Merged
  • No history kept.
  • Reported with Examstat. (paper if requested
    sorted by name only)

Marking a Batch Sheet
  • There are several fields on the blue sheet needed
    for processing.
  • Name required
  • There is space for the last name (14 characters)
  • Unique ID required
  • NetID or I-number (9 characters)
  • A sheet without proper ID will NOT be scored!!!

Individual scores
  • When you have a test already running and give the
    test on a Batch sheet with proper setup the
    sheet can be scored and reported like a standard
    Red Test Center Sheet.
  • Contact the Testing Center for help with this
    situation.

Scoring a Batch Test
  • Deliver the test to the Testing Center Office
    with the following
  • Answer sheets
  • All sheets facing the same direction (Cut
    Corners)
  • Batch cover sheet (available on WEB)

Batch Score Reports
  • Merged scores and Individual scores can be
    reported with all normal faculty reporting
    methods.
  • Non-merged Batch scores will be reported in an
    alphabetical names list via Examstat and paper if
    requested.

Surveys
  • Surveys are just a batch score without a key.
  • A printed Item Analysis is provided
  • Shows the number of responses for every position
    of each item
  • An ASCII file with the responses is available.
  • Individual fields
  • Name, Key, Non-obj, Id
  • Each response is reported
  • 0 9 A J
  • The file is Tab, comma, or column delimited for
    transfer to a spreadsheet, stats package, or word
    document.
