Title: Making Tomorrow Happen
1Making Tomorrow Happen
- For the readers of Humdinger
- By Chris Goebel
2Sow a thought, and you reap an act Sow an act,
and you reap a habit Sow a habit, and you reap
a character Sow a character, and you reap a
destiny. Charles Reade English Novelist
- What Charles Reade asked us to do was to sow, to
plant a thought. This demonstrates the importance
of attitude. What we believe is what we think and
what we think reaps an act, leads us to action.
Our attitude determines our actions. Therefore,
we must consider what our attitude is toward
writing. Do we think we can or that we cant? We
no longer remember who first said, If you think
you can, you can and if you think you cant, you
cant, but we know its true. - Right now, get honest with yourself. Are you
giving yourself credit for what you can do? Is
your self-talk positive, or do you continually
put yourself down?
3ATTITUDE MATTERS
- IF you answered that you put yourself down, make
a conscious effort and promise to yourself that
you will not do this anymore. When you catch
yourself slipping, you can just as easily tell
yourself that a negative attitude will get you
nowhere. Resist the urge to destroy your work
before it has begun. Think carefully before
crumpling papers or erasing drafts. Everything
you write is valuable, either as a lesson to you
later or as a record of human history.
4Sow a thought, and you reap an act Sow an act,
and you reap a habit Sow a habit, and you reap
a character Sow a character, and you reap a
destiny. Charles Reade English Novelist
- As you work on your positive attitude, you will
reap a habit. At first, when you form a new
habit, it feels strange and fake. So what? With
time, the feeling becomes natural. Then habits
develop character, as your positive attitude
transforms itself into consistent
actshabitsthat define who you are to yourself
and others this becomes your character.
5Sow a thought, and you reap an act Sow an act,
and you reap a habit Sow a habit, and you reap
a character Sow a character, and you reap a
destiny. Charles Reade English Novelist
- Sow a character and you reap a destiny.
- From a positive attitude, you create acts which
become habits that define you. When you develop
your character, then you reap your destiny. Do
not deny yourself that destiny! From a tiny seed
comes a tree, from a berry comes a medicinal
cureeven children contribute greatly to the
world. And so will you. - Because all it takes is a Positive Thought.
- Think one today!
- May your dreams take the chariots to the stars.
