TYPICAL ENVIRONMENTAL PHILOSOPHY
  • Electricity Costs Negotiate!
  • Water Costs Negotiate!
  • Gas Costs Negotiate!
  • Waste Costs Negotiate!
  • Shrewdness in the purchase of utilities
  • Top Negotiator. Well Done!
  • This does not address the real issue of
wastage threatening the environment or reducing
waste. I would like to see the introduction of
legislation covering minimum standards of energy
    efficiency performance, year on year.

7
ENVIRONMENT
  • As Works Director with J D Wilkie I have 3
    major objectives regarding Environmental issues.
  • Set policy/Communicate that policy throughout the
    organisation.
  • Minimise any adverse environmental effects/waste.
  • Continual improvements.
  • If I can achieve these objectives there are both
social and financial benefits to be gained.
  • One of the best tools to assist in achieving
these goals was most certainly the introduction
of ISO 14001 to the Company.
  • The successful assessment and accreditation of
ISO 14001 was the culmination of many months of
dedicated and committed efforts of the workforce.
  • We selected a small team to champion the venture
and set specific targets from the outset.
