1996 Comprehensive Plan
  • Provide viable, cost-effective VOLUNTARY
    development alternatives for the use of land.
    These alternatives might include
  • (a) Clustering residential development (including
    roads, utilities and other infrastructure)
    leaving open areas and vistas, but retaining
    overall densities of the subdivision
  • (b) Allow for smaller lots with provision of
    shared ownership in common open space
  • (c) Provide increased densities for a planned
    unit development
  • (d) Conservation and agricultural easements for
    preservation of open space and
  • (e) Waiving certain subdivision requirements so
    long as they meet minimum health and safety
    standards.

Recommended Motion
  • Mr. Chairman, I move to approve the attached
    resolution, which adopts updated subdivision
    regulations, amends the Zoning Regulations and
    amends the Planning Department fee schedule and
    authorize the Chairman to sign.
